When is a caveat Petition required to be renewed

 

Caveat Petition is valid for 90 days. Caveat Petition renewal can be made  just before the expiry of 90 days  or one may file a fresh caveat petition after the expiry of 90 days. The procedure  for caveat petition renewal remains the same , a caveat  petition drafted by an Advocate-On-Record of the Supreme Court and the same may be filed with the required fees and accompanying vakalatnama.

 

Caveat Petition Validity

A caveat Petition filed the in the Supreme Court of India is valid for 90 days. Upon expiry of 90 days one may again file a fresh petition to keep it alive. It is important for one to keep a track of the date of expiry of 90 days  as the validity is for 90 days and no intimation will be provided upon expiry. One has to keep a track of it himself orherself.

 

When is a caveat Petition required to be renewed?

What is the use of Caveat Petition

One should also note that  filing a caveat petition will and does not  guarantee that the caveator or the person filing the caveat petition will ultimately prevail .. However, it does provide a way for the party to assert their interests and ensure that party is given the opportunity to be present on the first date of hearing to present his or her case.
